Located at the base of the spine.
It is linked to the physical body. When the chakra is clean it shows a ruby red colour.
Endocrine gland – adrenals. The hormones produced by the adrenal glands have an effect on the body’s metabolism and how the body responds to stress; fight or flight response.
This chakra is linked to our survival instincts and will be affected by thoughts and feelings about the purpose of us being on earth, finances, home, security, relationships, need to lead a fulfilling life such as sexuality and possessions such as food, clothing.
Problems can manifest as disease in the nervous system, the skin, headaches / migraines, reproductive organs, childhood issues, addictions of any sort (may also have a link with the sacral chakra), drug & alcohol abuse, growth issues in terms of over / under eating, appearance, problems with the bottom end of the spine, physically issues relating to the lower parts of the body.
